For our client we are looking for a versatile Building Automation Engineer with strong experience in building automation and preferably a background in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry. German fluency is required; English is a plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and optimize BMS/BAS systems (HVAC, cleanrooms, labs).
  • Troubleshoot automation issues and ensure high system availability.
  • Support GMP/GxP compliance, audits, and qualification activities (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ).
  • Lead and support automation projects from design to commissioning.
  • Collaborate with vendors, facility engineering, QA, and operations.
  • Create and maintain documentation (functional specs, logic diagrams, SOPs).


Requirements

  • Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Building Technology, or similar.
  • Experience with common BMS systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, JCI, Schneider).
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control loops, and field equipment.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC.
  • Experience in pharma, biotech, or chemical environments preferred.
  • Hands-on mindset, strong problem-solving skills.


Languages

  • German: Fluent
  • English: Good command
