WHY ARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED AND WHAT IS THE CONDITION THAT MAKES THE PROCESSING LAWFUL?

Personal data is processed in order to process requests for information on the services offered by Gi Group or the companies of the Gi Group (“Group”). In particular, if the request for information concerns services offered by other companies of the Group, Gi Group may acknowledge it by indicating the contact details or it may forward it directly to the company concerned in order to receive a suitable and timely response from it.

The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or for the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject’s request.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

The data will be processed for as long as it is necessary to process requests for information.

After the above-mentioned retention periods have expired, personal data will be destroyed, deleted or anonymised, subject to technical deletion and backup procedures.

MANDATORY PROVISION OF PERSONAL DATA

The provision of personal data marked with an asterisk in the data collection form is compulsory: refusal to provide such personal data does not allow Gi Group to process requests for information.

Personal data may be communicated to the following entities or categories of entities acting as autonomous data controllers:

Your data may be transferred to companies that are not based in Switzerland or in a state belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA), i.e. in countries that do not therefore enjoy the same standardised level of protection within the EEA. For this reason Gi Group has put in place appropriate measures to ensure that companies which are not based in Switzerland or the EEA and which process your personal data provide adequate protection for this processing.
